Kelsea Yu is a Taiwanese Chinese American writer who is eternally enthusiastic about sharks and appreciates a good ghost story. Over a dozen of her short stories and essays appear in Clarkesworld, Apex, Nightmare, Fantasy, PseudoPod, and elsewhere. Her novella, Bound Feet, was a Shirley Jackson Award nominee, and her debut novel, It’s Only a Game, will be published by Bloomsbury Children’s in 2024. Kelsea Yu is a Taiwanese Chinese American writer. Her 2022 Shirley Jackson Award-nominated novella, Bound Feet, is published through Cemetery Gates Media, and her debut novel, It’s Only a Game, is forthcoming from Bloomsbury Children’s in 2024. She has over a dozen short stories and essays forthcoming or published in magazines such as Clarkesworld, Apex, Nightmare, PseudoPod, Fantasy, and Reckoning, and in anthologies such as Classic Monsters Unleashed, Death in the Mouth, and Dark Matter Presents: Human Monsters. She is a first reader for Ignyte-winning and twice Hugo-nominated khōréō magazine, and she’s an active member of SFWA and HWA.
